Meet Dr. Wendy Denning
MBBS, MRCGP, DRCOG, CCFP, DCMAc
Dr Wendy Denning, who has been named 3 years in a row, in Tatler’s top 150 private doctors and who co-presented the very successful TV series – ‘The Diet Doctors, Inside and Out ‘- is a GP with over 25 years experience. She is passionate about and a strong advocate for the Integration of Traditional and Complementary Medicine, serving for 2 years on the GP Steering Group for the Prince of Wales Foundation for Integrated Health and currently serving on the Committee for an Integrated approach to Obstetrics and Gynaecology in this country.
Dr Denning’s Philosophy
She believes that good diagnosis is the cornerstone to good medicine and that this is best acheived by listening to the patient, helping them to interprete the body’s signs and signals and to understand how the body functions as a whole. By changing just one thing one can often have a profound impact on many aspects of the body functioning.
Her strong foundation in traditional medicine and her extensive training in complementary medicine means that she brings many different strengths to the consultation process.
Frequently she orders tests, both conventional and unconventional, to support her diagnoses and to give her and the patient more information to choose the correct treatment.

She understands that our bodies have an innate capacity to heal themselves given the right conditions, so her treatment plans always aim to support this. Furthermore she acknowledges that each individual is different in how they react to their illnesses and so her treatment programs are individually tailored, including diet and lifestyle advice and often including the use of supplements, herbal medicine, acupuncture, osteopathy and bioidentical hormone therapy.
She is a strong believer in the patient being actively involved in the treatment process. By giving the patient excellent medical advice she believes the patient is then in a position to make informed choices. Her style is then to encourage and motivate the patient to achieve their desired goals.
By changing just one thing one can often have a profound impact on many different systems in the body and the patient’s overall health.
